MANGIA MARCH MADNESS

It's that time of year and as a wise man (or a basketball fan anyway) once said, "Let the madness begin."  Yes, the NCAA basketball tournament is here and Mangia wants to make sure it's a fun time for hoops fans both here in Austin and around the country.

The Longhorn men's team is a #2 seed in the South Region and primed to make another Final Four run.  This will be particularly nice for Orangebloods since San Antonio is just a hop, skip and jump shot away in San Antonio.  The Lady Longhorns finished strong and are a #8 seed and hope to keep up the frenetic pace they displayed the last couple weeks of the regular season.

Join your friends and fellow fans to watch all the games at any of Mangia's five locations.  Our new 31st and Guadalupe restaurant is an especially great viewing locale with our Longhorn room featuring HD Plasma TV's and game-like surround sound.  Besides that, you'll be in the shadow of the campus Tower, which is always good for a few extra Longhorn points.  Not a Longhorn fan, no problem, just because we bleed orange, we still love and welcome all March madness fans at Mangia.

For those who need more focus and like to watch the game from the comfy confines of home, here's the game plan.  Order a couple of Mangia's Chicago stuffed pizzas and some great appetizers or any of our other great offerings and you've got the food part covered.  Add in your beverages of choice and you and your fellow hoops fans will be good to go.

What's the perfect pizza for March Madness?  Well, Mangiasaurus Rex recommends his Carnivore specialty pizza.  It's a layer of pepperoni, a layer of beef, and a layer of sausage and for good measure topped with yet another layer of pepperoni.  Our Spinach pizza is also a great choice; the secret is that we blend fresh spinach with spices and part skim mozzarella cheese resulting in a succulent and healthy spinach flavor.  Of course there are plenty of other fantastic Chicago Stuffed pizzas and thin crust pizzas for you and your guests to choose from as well.
